  my wordpress theme offers 2 sidebars but only one is showing on site. how do I get the second sidebar to be active

  Every theme has a detailed theme description page and this one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/colinear and that’s where set up instructions for it and the live demo site link is found. Note Multiple Layouts and make your n2 sidebars right or left selection as explained there.
