  I added several widgets but they are not showing up on the sidebar.

  Hey there,

  On the Dara Theme support page, it states:

  The optional Sidebar, which appears on the right in blog view and on pages using the default template with the exception of a Static Homepage.

  Dara does not support a sidebar if you opt for a static homepage, only if you choose to display posts on the front page. If you switch from Static Front Page to Your Latest Posts, you would be able to see your sidebar.

  Second question is how do I get rid of .com.

  The reason why you see the com on your blog URL is because you entered karenadeutschcom.wordpress.com into the domain field when you were creating the address. Leave the .com out of the field and enter karenadeutschcom.wordpress.com – you should get your desired results: karenadeutschcom.wordpress.com.
