Sidebars Not The Same Size
-
My Sidebars in the Digg3 Column Theme are not the same size. Is there a way to make the right sidebar the same size as the left in CSS?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The width of both sidebars is the same since they are defined together at 192px under
.sidebar, .obarIf you are talking length, that depends on the total length of widgets in each sidebar. Play around with the widgets moving them from one side to another to get the two where they are close to the same length.

I played around with it and nothing changed. Is there a CSS code for the Length of the Sidebar?
-
Sidebar length depends on what is put into it. It expands as needed for the widgets installed. There is no way to make them exactly the same unless they had exactly the same widget with exactly the same content in both sidebars.

You can add the following to your CSS which will space out the widgets in the right sidebar, but if you add anything to either the left or right sidebar, you will have to edit the padding.
.sidebar ul li { padding-bottom: 90px; }Left sidebar is under .obar
Right sidebar is under .sidebarTypically both are styled the same so that they look consistent.

Hmm, works for me. Try the following, and if you are using the “preview” function, try force refreshing the preview page. Sometimes it does not pick up the changes.
.sidebar .widget { padding-bottom: 90px !important; }Also, explain again in more detail what you want when you say the sidebars are not the same size. Maybe I’m not understanding.

Yea i am hitting the refresh button when i hit preveiw. That’s weird it works for you but it will won’t work for me.
-
You are talking about the length of the sidebars right? You want the widgets to end at the same level, right?
-
I just tried it again and it works for me. Are you putting it at the very end of your CSS?
-
Yea i’m putting it on the very end. And yes i would like the Sidebars to be the same size in width.
-
The ARE the same size in width, 192px because the width is set in one place for both sidebars. If you take a look here,
.sidebar, .obar
you will see that it is set at 192px (that applies to both right and left. -
Actually are you talking about the small gap to the left side of the header image in the left sidebar?
-
-
That diden’t work ether. If you look at the Title of the widget BG and you see that they are not in the same place. That’s because the Sidebar’s are not the same size. If you take a photo editing program and select the square tool and you take the size of the square. Then you move the size to the other side of the sidebar. You will see there not the same size.

I’m seeing 5 pixels difference in the space between the lines on the left and right sidebar, but that is an issue with the background image. You would need to fix the background image in an image editing program.
Left: 188px
Right: 183px -
