Sidebars not visible.
-
hello there. I am trying to upgrade and change my theme. But the sidebars are never visible on my homepage at The London Bluebird. I have tried removing the <div> comments on the text version of my post that contains them, as advised on your Layout Issues page. All this does is remove large sections of last week’s blog. I am finding it very frustrating as I have been trying to do this for an hour. Please advise how to make my sidebar categories visible? Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you for your reply, Raincoaster.
I have tried using three or four different themes, all with sidebars on the Homepage. None of them seem to be working and the categories end up at the foot of the page and not at the side. I think this might be an issue to do with HTML judging from the Layout Issues support page. Has anyone ever come across this problem before? I have used a sidebar successfully with wordpress since 2010. Only when I change the Theme does it disappear.

This is not a theme issue. You’ve got lots of wrong div tags in your latest post. Edit the post, select all, select Paragraph from the Format menu, switch the editor to Text then back to Visual, click Update.
In the future, never copypaste from sources such as Word into the Visual editor; if you have to paste, paste into the Text editor. Also go to Settings > Writing, tick the option “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”, click Save Changes.
