Sidekick panoramic pictures for non-blog pages

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hey everyone,

I am using the Sidekick theme. I found how to use the panoramic picture feature image option for my blog posts, but the option does not work with my other pages. The image does appear as a panorama on top of my page, but a second one, smaller, covers the top of my writing too.

Can someone help me fix this? Or are panoramic pictures not supposed to be used for other pages?

    Thanks

I see exactly what you mean. Did you also insert the images into the pages as well as setting a featured image?

    Panoramic Featured Images
Sidekick will display a post’s featured image, full browser width, if its aspect ratio is at least 3×1 (width x height) and its minimum width is 1500px. You can set featured images on the Post Editor page under Featured Image.

I did not insert the photo in the post itself, no. The photo is only supposed to be the featured image. And I made sure it was the right dimensions too.
I wonder if it a bug in the theme code? I tried seeing the blog with a different browser, but the same happens.

I also think it may be a bug but not worry as the weekend is almost gone now and Staff will respond when they can.

@eseite: Thanks for letting us know! We have fixed the bug that was causing the image to display twice.

Let me know if you have any questions!
