Sidekick Theme: Featured Image Not Showing

  I have a feeling this topic keeps coming up, but I haven’t seen a recent thread with a similar problem that I’ve been having (or perhaps it’s out there, just that I haven’t found it…).

  I want to add a featured image to a post. I’m using the Sidekick theme. Everything is working like it should up to the ‘Publish’ stage. That is, I have a featured image selected and it’s showing up in the sidebar as a thumbnail, as it should. But when I publish the post the featured image does not appear on the published post, and I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong?

  I’ve read the instructions, and to my knowledge I’m doing everything properly. The image I want to use is more than 1500px wide, and the aspect ratio is 3:1, so it should be working, right? I’m obviously overlooking something…!

  If you help me out, please be aware that I am a complete newbie to ‘new’ wordpress, so be gentle and explain even silly details to me when offering suggestions on what to do so I actually understand what you’re telling me to do!

  You can go to Media > Library, click on the image thumbnail, copy the File URL from the Save module and paste the URL here, so we can check the image.

  This image is 1655×566: that’s less than 3×1. If you copy and use this version (1655×550), you’ll see that it’ll work:
