Sight Theme: Changing featured image size on front page

  I’d like to decrease the size of the featured photos that appear on the left side of the blog posts appearing on front page.

  I have the CSS upgrade, but haven’t been able to figure it out at all. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

  I need also a hint how to change the thumbnail size and how to change the imagesize in the full post view. if i click on the thumbnail the full post appears but the image isnt shown in full size. half picture is cut away. where can i change that?

  Hi juliegustafson,

  It’s not possible to change the size of the image directly, but you can resize it indirectly with CSS. The following should do the trick (paste it into your CSS editor at Appearance > Custom Design > CSS):

  .entry-thumbnail {
      max-width: 28.3333%;
  }

  This will reduce the size quite a bit. What we’re doing here is adjusting the width of the container that holds the image. The image will fill 100% of the container. Tweak the “max-width” percentage until you reach a width you like.

  it didn’t work. maybe i destroyed any styles somewhere while changing the stylesheet..

  i changed the stylesheet myself but now set it to the default style again to work on that image problem….

  Hi @larastepanovic. I’m looking at this post. You’re using Inuit Types, which displays hard-cropped featured images on single posts. If you would like to remove the top photo on that post, then remove the post’s featured image. Hope that helps.
