Sight theme – customize slider & circle social media buttons

  Hello ~ does anyone know if we can customize the size of the slider in Sight Theme ?

  My images are more square which doesn’t quite work in the rectangle and leaves a huge space after.

  Also – does anyone know how we can place the circular social media buttons on our home page (my blog page) ? I want them all up the top under the search bar somewhere and in pastel colors.

  Any ideas very welcome.

  Hi,

  The thing about the slider is that the theme automatically crops the slider image to be a rectangle (the theme wants it to be 640×390 pixels, ideally).

  So that’s the problem. While we can use CSS to make the image area to be rectangle, the image itself is already cropped by the theme. Like this one for example: http://spiritsorbet.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/spirit-sorbet-3.png?w=389&h=290&crop=1

  Unfortunately there’s no way we can get around this, because we can’t modify the code.

  Sorry, when I said “While we can use CSS to make the image area to be rectangle” I meant to say “While we can use CSS to make the image area to be square“.
