Sight theme: Featured Images for posts

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi guys,

    If you add a featured image to your non-sticky posts, Sight will display them alongside the post content on the home page and all archive pages, What I want is to take the thumbnails from Flickr (not to upload them on WordPress) and somehow post it as a thumbnail on my home page… Is it possible to do that?

    Can you please help

    Many thanks,

    Liya from ILRI

    Howdy! No, this is not possible — in order to set a featured image, the image must be uploaded to WordPress.

    You could manually link to an image in your post excerpt, and it would be displayed:

    <img src="http://url.to/your-image.png" alt="My Flickr Image" />

    (It wouldn’t be displayed in the same place as the featured thumbnail, however.)
