having trouble finding how to create the sticky slider for sight theme

Let’s see what we can figure out.
Have you made the posts “sticky” and given them a featured image? Both of those things need to happen in order for posts to appear in the slider.

Got it! I see what I was not doing.
EACH post must be a “sticky” AND “featured”1) headline font size, although I can see the changes I have made to reduce the size, it actually has not changed.
2) photos still do not post on individual posts on the main page as shown in the demo, rather, they are just posting as title and see more

What are the exact font/size changes you are trying to make? From ____ font to ____ font, for example.
