Sight Theme: How to center Slider and Navigation

  Hey There!

  I am currently changing my theme (from Adelle to Sight) and need some help regarding the new theme.

  First, I desperately try to center the navigation bar and the slider below. As you can see on my blog, both elements are more on the left side of the screen….

  I tried a couple of codes I found in the forum but none of them did work and I just don’t know why.

  I hope somebody can help me with this!

  Well, yes of course (?)
  I already made a few adjustments but the codes I found about that aligning issues didn’t work and now I’m trying to figure out why. Do you have any ideas?

  Sorry I do not help with CSS editing but just wanted to be sure you were aware of the links I posted above. Another Volunteer or Staff will assist you as soon as they assist those who posted for CSS editing help before you did. Please be patient while waiting.

  Hi Julia, to center the menu in Adelle, add
  text-align: center;
  to your .main-navigation rule in your CSS and then add the following also

  .main-navigation ul {
      display: inline-block;
  }

  Today, I changed my theme from Adelle to Sight because I wanted to include the post slider. Still trying to figure everything out… slowly but surely getting there :)

  I inserted the following code and it is working perfectly. I think I missed the second part, that’s why it wasn’t working in the first place.

  For the slider, add the following to the end of your custom CSS and see what you think.

  .featured-wrapper {
      max-height: 360px;
      max-width: 100%;
      overflow: visible;
  }
  .featured-nav-wrapper {
      max-height: 360px;
      position: static;
  }
  .home #main {
      padding: 0;
  }
