  I wish to make a comment on this site (I have a number of previous times). I am logged in to my WordPress.com account, but it does not recognize that I am logged in & asks me to log in via clicking an icon (WP, Twitter, Facebook) in the lower right corner of the comments box.

  I click WP and the form briefly flashes and then disappears.

  This is a new phenomenon. Previously I have had no problems making comments.

  Hi there!

  Could you let us know what operating system and browser (and versions of each) you’re using? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

  You might want to try a different browser than the one you normally use to see if it’s a browser specific problem.

  Let us know what you find out!

  I am using MacOS (Monterey) v-12.0.1v on both a MacBook Pro 16″ and an iMac 27″ desktop.

  I had no problem with my browser (Safari) until now. But I will try Chrome and Firefox to see if they work.

  Problem solved!

  Popup was blocked, but required for the sign-in. The mystery is how it all worked for months. As the King of Siam said, “Is a puzzlement.”

  I decided to check after the Chrome browser worked.
