Sign Language in Contact Forms?

    Hello WordPress community

    I’m Michael, a Deaf programmer and want to spread something among WordPress developers I am currently working on. Probably this email arrives at the wrong place? If so, could you forward this to a WordPress developer responsible for contact forms or so?

    I’ve been working for a long time on a cool project that allows Sign Language based contact forms in plain HTML which is awesome. It is based on this one project of mine https://github.com/binarykitchen/videomail-client

    And the WordPress plugin itself is https://github.com/kjohnson/ninja-forms-videomail. But I think it could also be possible in WordPress core.

    These links point to the open source code my team wrote. Just sharing so that you see it’s real. A live example can be seen on http://www.videomail.io – it can be inside a WordPress contact form now.

    Will be in Beta next month and happy to assist if you are interested to integrate it.

    Also, if you know of any large sites that could use it, let me know.

    Thanks for reaching out. The best place to get something on the radar for the people working on Core is here:

    Making WordPress

    We do have people at WordPress.com that also contribute to core, but it’s not our main focus, so going via that website is really the best place for the right people to see it. If you’re willing to contribute getting something like this into core that is also where you can join in with other developers working on WordPress.

    That said, I’ll also make our Accessibility team in WordPress.com aware of your plugin in case someone wants to look at integrating it directly in WordPress.com.
