How can I put my ‘follow blog’ widget in a more prevalent place than just at the footer of my page?

Good Morning – Each WordPress.com theme is unique on where you can place widgets. Some have sidebars and footers, some only have footers. You are using The Illustratr Theme which has a footer and then a hidden footer if you select the + sign in the triangle at towards the bottom of the page. On this theme you can only add widgets into the footers.
