Sign Up Errors!!!

  I am trying to set up a new website. Every single time I put my card details in (i’ve tried about 20 times now) it either refuses to load the new page, or loads it and tells me ‘Sorry, something went wrong while we were creating …….com, please try again’.

  It gives me no more information than this and keeps just sending me back to the sign up page!!! This is beyond frustrating. I can set up a free blog, but then the paid for package is twice the price if you do it after the initial set up, so I really want to set up the site and pay for the package all in one go.

  Please please can someone let me know what the problem might be? I’ve seen this issue coming up a lot on the forums and it always seems to be that a bit of coding has changed on the WordPress site and is causing glitches.

  Any help at all would be hugely appreciated!

  Are you aware that you cannot purchase any upgrade for a blog that has not been registered as yet? Sometimes people try to purchase domains without first registering a .wordpress.com underlying blog to apply the domain mapping upgrade to. Is this the case in your case?

  Possibly, however when I try to register the blog I am then met with a page offering upgrades at the time which is why I was trying to purchase at the same time as set up.

  It also says that if I purchase the premium account as I set up the blog I’ll save money, so I don’t want to go ahead a set up the blog if the price then goes up afterwards.

  Does that make sense?

  This might have been related to a temporary issue we were experiencing. Are you still having trouble?
