Sign Up Form For Customers Using My Website

Can you tell me if it is possible to include a registration form within a premium website to enable customers to use a particular funtionality on the site? I am looking to try and set up an option for customers to upload pictures of their items they wish to sell so that I can inpect the pictures and give a cash offer for those items. Ideally I was hoping to request they sign up which will allow them access to the uploading facility. Is something like this possible? Regards, Brian

    Hi Brian,

Unfortunately that wouldn’t be possible on WordPress.com. One other option would be to add a Contact Form requesting information and the conversation can be continued via email.

If you need a site that can do this, I would look into the self-hosted WordPress.org. There might be a plugin that can do something similar, but I’m not 100% sure. Please check it out here:

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

You wouldn’t have to start completely over from scratch – as you can import your pages and posts. This guide will step you through the process of moving your site to a WordPress.org instance:

As we only support sites hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new site – including the importing of the file – must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:

The move is free, but it can be a bit complicated. If you’d like assistance moving your WordPress.com site to WordPress.org, we have a service called Guided Transfer that does all the work for you. Check it out to see if it’s right for you:

Thanks for that. One last question. Can you confirm that I was right to subscribe to a hosting site wasnt I? Only I am slightly confused as to whether hosting was part of the package when I signed up? Otherwise I am paying hostgater when I didnt need to!

Hi Grace, Sorry to bother you again. Can you help me please. I have canceled my wordpress.com website and have began to create a new website in wordpress.org. However when I search for my website online it is showing as the old wordpress.com one? How do I change this please

    Hi there,

I looked into your domain: salisburyplainvideogames.co.uk and found that it is pointing to HostGator. I am currently seeing your WordPress.org site as seen in the screenshot below:

Hi the screenshot is exactly what I am seeing but I have updated the header and a few other things but as you can see for yourself they are not showing. The screenshot you sent me. Do you know if this is a wordpress.com or wordpress.org website?

    Hi there,

That is a WordPress.org site. :) If you have any questions about this, please go to the support community at WordPress.org:

    http://wordpress.org

Because your site is self-hosted with a different provider, support staff at WordPress.com do not have access to your site’s files or the ability to provide support for your current issue.

You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here:
