i hv the html code of my signature bt wordpress wont allow us to edit the html of the template.so how can i do it??
-
paste the HTML into the Code tab of the post editor. You have to put it in each post, not the template.
and please use more vowels ;)

posting the html code in every post can be tiring…..isnt there a way to embed it into the template?

Um, actually post sigs are a ToS violation last time I knew if they include a link for SEO purposes. At least I’ve reported them and Mark has dinged them.
-
Some of the themes, like NeoSapien, automatically include a signature that is a link to your primary blog. And yes, it works like SEO; I’ve checked it on Technorati.

@techstreak
I left comment on your blog making it clear that we cannot embed anything in our templates on this wp-MU multi-user blogging platform. We cannot access them and edit them and I explained how being allowed to do that would effect every other blog in the same theme. I guess you forgot what I said. -
hmmm telling people to spam is never a good thing IMO techstreak, and i still dont understand this fascination with adsense.

@tiamatsdisciple
I agree. My response to the blog post techstreak wrote called “How to get genuine looking adsense clicks,” which IMO ought to be called “how to perpetrate adsense fraud” was — thumbs down. I’m astonished that anyone who wants to establish a good reputation would write such stuff. -
Good for you. I’m glad you’re teaching truth because it does appear we are meeting more members of the brainwashed “adsenseless” masses every day.
-
lol ive never believed in adsense from the start. Okay, sure if you have 100,000 hits a day, then sure it’ll earn you a little. But your average blog just wont generate the income.
Just a thought, but wouldn’t telling people to go out and both spam and commit fraud be against the ToS of WP.com?
-
-
drmike doesn’t answer policy questions anymore. Best bet would be to submit it via the Report spam link in teh admin bar.
-
Just for reference, last time I knew, the subject of SEO and blogging about it was allowed. Putting into practice the less polite aspects of it (ie random links, forum sig links, automated posting to multiple blogs, etc.) around here was not.
-
I think the question is whether instructions on how to commit fraud are against the ToS, and that’s a matter for staff to decide. SEO is just the field in which the fraud takes place.
