Signed new blog with wrong email address. Need to transfer blog to another ema

  Hi there!

  I was in the midst of signing up for a new blog address for a friend and I didn’t realize that I was signed in to my own account. Now I want to right this but I found out deleting my new blog over on this account will not allow me to sign up with the same name again. I really need to transfer this over to her email account.

  Please help! I’ve been trying to find the wordpress team’s email address to direct this to them too but it only links back to support and forums.

  Hello there,
  This is a peer support forum. When we Volunteers cannot deal with the issues then we flag threads for Staff attention.

  I found out deleting my new blog over on this account will not allow me to sign up with the same name again.

  Deleted blog URLs are not recycled here at WordPress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another blog with a similar name or better still your friend can do that > http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Though it won’t apply as you deleted the blog, just in case, see here for how to transfer a blog to another username account > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  That link is perfect! Thanks so much for your help! yes fimo is the blog I was speaking of. I did not delete it but was thinking of until I found out my friend won’t be able to use the same user name.

  The email address you used when registering your WordPress.com account is listed in:
  the Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page, or
  Users -> Personal Settings in your dashboard
