Signed up with wrong id

  Mistakenly signed up with an email id that is similar to mine. Now I can’t click on the confirmation link to activate my account or update the correct id. What do I do ?

  I’ll tag this thread for Staff help. Post both the incorrect and correct email addresses here. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  :-( I did the same error again. So I request you to activate this id instead. Ignore thewoopoint and activate tinylittleconversations

  wrong email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  and correct one is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  The difference is the dot before r.

  Thanks hope I can start using wordpress finally.

  The two email addresses you list are the same, so I’m not sure what you want to change it to. The good news is if you can log into your account, you can change your email address to the one you want and confirm it from the email account. You do not have to have access to the email account that you mistyped.

  Right id: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  The difference is just the dot after prankster. I know I can change the id but I need to click on the confirmation link for that. And I am not receiving that link because of the wrong id.

  As mentioned earlier the difference is DOT after p.r.a.n.k.s.t.e.r

  You don’t have to be able to access the wrong account to make this change. Go to this page.

  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  Click “cancel” where it says “There is a pending change of your email to (email visible only to moderators and staff). Please check your inbox for a confirmation link.Cancel”

  Then update your email address to the correct one. You’ll receive a confirmation email at the new address, not the old one.

  That’s exactly my problem. How do I update my correct email id?

  The message: “There is a pending change of your email to [email redacted]. Please check your inbox for a confirmation link.Cancel”

  was for the request to update the correct id.
