  The first time I sign in each day, it tells me I need to update the user name. I have put this update in multiple times and still it says pending update and then asks me again the next time.

  Second thing, when you view the web page, it continues to show the author/category/edit information on the pages I have updated. How can I take this off? Everyone who accesses the site now sees this and it is annoying.

  Generally frustrated with how this whole thing works.

  Doesn’t help.

  Am I to understand I can hopefully get some other user with similar problems to answer? This is not good support and makes me think we need to transfer to another platform in order to get what we need. Good to know.

  I can’t get logged on to the self-hosted WordPress.org version. This was no help at all.

  Hi @willistonfederatedchurch, the forums for self-hosted WordPress sites would have a separate login. You’d need to create an account there. Or, you might contact your host to see what they advise.

  That said,

  Have you tried copying and pasting the exact error message you’re getting? I haven’t seen this before, but if you’ll copy the message and put quotes around it, then search for that, you’ll likely find your answer, and may not have to ask anyone after all.
