Signing in?
-
Something quite disturbing happened yesterday. I went to post a comment on another blog (a WordPress Blog, I think) where I have posted before. They already had my info and I normally don’t have to sign in to anything, just type and post. But this time, it demanded I sign in to WordPress – despite the facts that the site doesn’t require me to do so, I didn’t select a sign in with WordPress option. It gave me a screen with my name and said I was trying to use an account I was not logged into. I think maybe one thing is that you folks did update my e-mail address which just happened.
What is going on here – and how do you justify such action as this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We don’t justify anything at all. If you received a log in notice then tell us exactly what the blog post URL is and we shall examine what’s going on for you.

I didn’t want to give you the URL before I’d at least let the blog owner know of my experience. He confirmed that signing in was NOT required – all that was needed was an e-mail and a name. I’d posted before so that was all set. This happened after my e-mail was updated. I want to know WHY WordPress was even checking to see if I had an account when I DID NOT use the sign in with WordPress option. I think that needs justification – for what reason under those circumstances would WP even be checking?
The blog URL is: http://memoryholeblog.com/
Thanks.
