Signing Into Stats – Password Problems

  After updating to ios7 and doing the WordPress app update as well, I cannot use the same password/username combination to view my stats that I use to log into my blog. I tried changing my password and I have the same issue.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there – do you mean that when you open the app, everything works fine, but when you click on the Stats tab, you get an authentication error?

  Can you please try logging into the app once more and make extra sure you’re entering your password correctly? If you receive an error message, please let me know the exact error.

  Yes, exactly – everything else on the app works fine and I can sign in and use everything but the stats. When I click on the stats, it prompts me to log in, and when I enter my username and password, it tells me I have an invalid username and password combination and to try again.

  This used to periodically happen to me on the old version of ios but now I can’t get into my stats at all.

  Can you please try it by using your username here:
  https://en.wordpress.com/settings/account/

  And then try it by using your email address here:
  https://en.wordpress.com/settings/account/

  Let me know if it accepts one or the other, or if you get the error for both.

  Hi there – I’m sorry, that wasn’t very clear of me. I meant try signing in on the stats portion of the app, first with the exact username that’s listed at that link and then with the email address that’s listed at that link.

  I’m trying to figure out if the app is rejecting your username, your email, or both. :)

  Thanks! I tried using both – my username, password, and I also tried using my own domain since I purchased it as well as the .wordpress address but I got the same error for all of them.

  I was just able to fix this problem! I was having similar issues with other apps and I was told to change my Safari settings to “never block cookies” and now I can log into the stats. Thanks for working with me on this.
