My name is Katherine Alvarez I’ve been trying to create a website for a long time already. When I click get started it asks me what type of template I would like if I have a domain which I do and it shows me the plans I chose the personal one and when I click it it sends me back to te same questions over and over again I can never pay cuz it just send me back to the four questions I was asked and I answer so many times. I already have a domain name is happy-Kathy.com and I also have a web host which is dreamhost. How can I start building my blog??????

Hi there!
It looks like happy-Kathy.com is hosted at wsimg.com. If you are trying to make a blog here but your domain and page are there it just won’t work and you end up chasing your tail. They might have WordPress as a utility there, but it is a different animal than what you find here at WordPress.com.I would recommend trying the forums at en.forums.wordpress.ORG which is where WordPress installations at places other that WordPress.com questions are handled.

Please see what Staff said here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/custom-domain-89?replies=6#post-2882612You can use the Personal Plan, yes, but you need to add the plan first. If you add the domain first, Premium is selected automatically.
Go to My Site ->Plans and buy the Personal Plan, and then you can go back and claim your free domain at My Site ->Domains ->Add.

I see this thread has been tagged for staff. If you are trying to use a custom domain with WordPress.com you’ll need to upgrade your plan.
Please go to wordpress.com/pricing/ to upgrade.
Once the plan is added you can set up the domain.
