  I use the free WordPress version just for trying it out. I want to enable user registration but I cannot find the ‘Anyone can register’ checkbox. Is it not available in the free version?

  Hi there,

  The ‘Anyone can register’ can only be found on the self-hosted version of WordPress.

  On WordPress.com you can invite others to join your site by following these instructions:
