Signup problems for new account

  I want to set up a new wordpress.com-blog for a customer but when I use the registration page it does not work. I fill in all details, choose Create free blog, the page blinks and then nothing happens and no activation mail arrives. I have tried at least 20 times during the last week.

  Also tried today to set up by registering my credit card for the free premium trial period, then I get “Sorry something went wrong, please try again”.

  I have a deadline to keep, hope I can get some quick help on this!

  I’m sorry you’re having trouble. Can you let me know the email address you’re trying to use upon sign-up? Please note, the email address will appear as redacted in the public forum, but it will be available to WordPress.com staff members.

  I have tried two, but the one I want to use is (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  Hi,

  I don’t see anything that would be blocking your new user sign-up. Can you try to sign-up again and take a screenshot of any error message that you see? Please upload that error message to your Media Library so I can take a look!

  There is not even an error message. When I click Create I can see a page is loading, the screen blinks and then the page looks exactly the same and no activation mail is sent.

  Hi!

  I’m sorry you’re continuing to experience sign-up trouble. Can you try one more thing? Can you try signing up with a different browser? If that doesn’t work, I can go ahead and create another user account if you let me know a username you would like to use.

  I have already tried it at my husband’s computer and had the same problems, also with different browser and different mail address. For now I had to use another webeditor for this customer but it seems like a really strange problem. It would be sad if I can’t create new sites with WordPress anymore. There must be more people with the same problem? Thanks for trying to solve this.

  Hi there,

  I went ahead and created a new user account under the email address you provided. You should have received account information including a username and password through an email to that address.

  After you have confirmed that account, you can create a blog following the instructions here:
