Silliest question: What is WordPress hosting site?

  We have a theme and a wordpress site that is just a .wordpress.com address. We’re just trying to download a theme onto it, but my ftp client keeps asking for the hosting address. What’s wordpress’s hosting addy??

  You are confused about the different kinds of WordPress.
  If your site is hosted for free, then you have a wp.COM site.
  We do not have FTP access. We cannot upload themes found online, not even the ones that say they are WordPress themes.
  Your site ends with “.wordpress.com” so you cannot use a theme like that. You can find one here:
  http://wordpress.com/themes/

  If you don’t like any of those, then you’ll have to buy a domain name and pay someone to host your site. You can use WordPress.ORG software to make it function.
