Silly question – apologies in advance – hoping you can help anyway
-
I realize this is probably a ridiculous question so I apologize but I wanted to be sure. So , thanks in advance for your help!
I exported my wordpress.com blog, converted it, and imported it into blogger. I went through ALL my posts reformatting photos and making it pretty it took hours. It was just how I wanted. Then since it had all imported properly I fogured I could delete my wordpress blog. So I did. The next day all the photos on blogger disappeared and the text became tiny. I can only asume this isrealted to deleting my worpress and so I KNOW this is silly, but if there’s ANY WAY to restore my wp blog in hopes those pictures might show back up I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for your help!

I didn’t realize this was a public forum (I’m on my phone) so I realize no one here will really be able to help. Hoping I’m wrong but please excuse my silliness otherwise.

Oh god. Yes, we can help. I can help by flagging this for staff attention.
The issue is, there are two kinds of export: one exports all the files including media files, and one just exports the text and hotlinks to the media files. Sounds like you did the latter. Then when you deleted the blog, all the files went Poof.
If staff cannot help (they may be able to but it is far from guaranteed) you can search for your WP.com blog in Google. It takes them awhile to delete their caches for deleted blogs, so if you put the title or first line of each post in Google, it should find the deleted blog. Then you click on Cached Version to see their cache and you can copy the image from that.

Thanks for your help! Hopefully a staff member responds soon! I’ll try the cached pages when I get home and am not on my phone. Fingers crossed!
