Similar site with similar content but different domain hurt my wordpress site?
-
Hi
Background.
I started my website journey using wix.
https://www.nordiccrypto.net/
I built that site over years and it got quite good rankings but since wix servers lack speed my sites will never be optimal in terms of ranking compared to other sites due to that single aspect that I can’t change (the issue is on their front).
To solve that I created a new wordpress site.
https://nordiccrypto.io/
My first post was 2023-12-05 and I have posted 8 posts so far. I have index all pages on google and my site posts get 99/100 on pagespeed.web.dev . So I have at least successes with creating a new “optimal site” that is a lot faster than the wix site. This new site got similar content as the wix site but it is not duplicated.
I do however post summaries of my posts on the wordpress site on my reddit page. https://www.reddit.com/r/Nordic_Crypto/
These reddit posts are very similar to the posts made on the wordpress site as they are summaries.
My issue
When I search for the exact titles of my posts including my wordpress website name they do not show up on google. Even though the posts have almost perfect SEO scores within a niche field.
My questions
1. Is this because the two websites (wix & wordpress) are so similar in name that google don’t show the content of my wordpress site?
(nordiccrypto.net & nordiccrypto.io)
2. Is it because the wordpress posts content is almost the same and shown in my reddit posts?
3. Are there any crucial wordpress plugins that I need? Saw some post of SSL plugin or something…
4. Or is it that enough time have not gone by for the posts to be shown at all on google? -
Also, I tired submitting sitemaps in “Google search console” for my wordpress site but it just says “Could not fetch”.
