simple copy and paste a document from my file to the blog. copy &paste

  up till today I could simply open a document from my computer “mark it blue to copy it” then right click copy… go to my blog and right click paste… it would then put my page on the blog. I am not this good on the computer and all the “media” thing is doing is putting a one sentence
  in my blog … why can’t I do what I did last week? simple and e-z?

  You need to be cautious and use the correct approach when copying and pasting form any document created in a word processor.

  Microsoft Word is a word processing program that’s not compliant with web standards. The result of copy and pasting from Microsoft Word into the Tiny MCE editor in WordPress blogs can be unexpected, and contain a lot of formatting code that’s not compliant unless you know how to use the built-in features in the Visual editor for using Word cleanly. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

  Note you need to click the kitchen sink icon #15 at the end of Row 1 to have Row 2 appear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-1

  Go here and enable this > Settings > Writing
  Formatting
  _ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
  “save changes”

  You also need to be aware of the fact that your computer is not a web server that hosts images for viewing on the internet. All images you use in your blog must be hosted on a web server – you cannot copy and paste them.

  .jpg/.jpeg
  .gif
  .png
