Simple menu color change
-
I am sure this is much more simple than I am making it, but I really have no experience in CSS nor can I find a free or cheap course.
Anyways I am currently using the bloggy theme, which I find great for my blog, that said I have been unable to customize the color of my menu options. I have tried
}
{search-field {background-color: #99ffff;}but that is only working for one box, the one you click to hit search, but all the other menus are still an ugly dark gray.
Any help would really be appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, are you wanting to change the background color on all the main menu and social? If so, with the way that Blogly HTML is constructed, other things will change as well since they have used the same CSS selectors for a lot of things. The first rule below takes the menu items in the main and social to your background color. The second does the widget titles. If you wish the widget titles in a different color, simply change the color code in the second CSS rule.
.sidebarwidget .menu-primary-container li a, .sidebarwidget.widget_wpcom_social_media_icons_widget li a { background: #99ffff; } .sidebarwidget h3.sidebartitle:first-of-type { background: #99ffff; }
