Simple Page Ordering will not download properly. The zip folder has only text and picture files, no software! Tried 3 times.

    Hi there,

Are you referring to the Simple Page Ordering plugin seen here?

    Simple Page Ordering

If so, it is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

However, if you let me know what you’re looking to do via the plugin, I’m happy to see if it’s already possible without a plugin at WordPress.com!

Hi Jeremy, I am simply wanting to reorganise my posts on the home page. At the moment, the latest posting automatically becomes the lead item! For example. January 2014 Newsletter needs to be moved tot he bottom item.

    Hi there!

So, you would like to display your posts in chronological order with the latest post appearing at the end. Is that correct? By default, WordPress.com displays posts in reverse chronological order. However, you can use the Display Posts shortcode shown here:

    Display Posts Shortcode

Just create a new page and place the following shortcode in the Text Editor:

    [display-posts order="ASC"]

You can modify this shortcode to include only certain categories or to display post text (not just titles) using the modifiers listed in the document above. The following would display all of the post content (not just the excerpt):

    [display-posts order="ASC" include_content="true"]

Let me know if you need anything else!
