    Hi there,

Can you mention the link for the WordPress.com site/blog you seeking to pay for.

Meanwhile, I am tagging this post for staff’s attention as the staff can add INR as a currency option for your account.

  • Hi there,

The Simple Payments feature uses PayPal, so we are limited in which currencies we can add to that feature by the currencies that PayPal allows. PayPal only allows payments in INR for in-country PayPal India accounts only at this time, and that currency cannot be used for integrations like our Simple Payments button.

In order for us to support INR for the Simple Payments button, PayPal will need to change their policies regarding that currency to allow this first.

<Why WordPress itself isn’t providing a system to collect money directly from the bank account of our customers via credit/debit cards?

  • PayPal is the system we provide to collect money. Pretty much every site online that sells a product/service collects money uses a third party payment gateway system such as PayPal, Stripe, etc to process payment transactions.
