simple question

I’m new to wordpress…I have another blog that was blogger and eventually I purchased a domain name however continued to work with the blogger interface/ platform for publishing. I’ve also had some experience with squidoo, and I know some html / css. However I’ve still been very overwhelmed when it comes to all the new options etc provided by wordpress. SO… a few of my basic questions:
can you upload a wordpress theme you found online (that was a free download) I know in blogger you can upload xml files but it seems like this isn’t an option in wordpress
what do you guys use for your rss reader (is there a way to use one reader for blogger and wordress or do you have to use separate)
how much can you do with personalization of a template (ex uploading badge for website like tumblr or twitter)Thanks for the help and sorry if I’m repeatting common questions. I promised I look but theres just so much great info here it can be a little overwhelming! Thanks for reading !

2) Absolutely depends on your personal skill level with CSS. Flash, javascript and iframes, among other operative codes, are stripped out at WordPress.com
