  Hi,
  still in a learning mode, trying to help my friend to build a simple informative (about, contact + some pictures) website for is business (he does Moldings). Can I use WordPress without buying anything(?) He did not buy a domain yet but wants to do it on his own.

If you want to build a site with more features (like adding a domain), you can choose any of our upgrade plans https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and you’ll pay the full price for a year (or two years, if that is presented as an option) at checkout.

  All our plans come with a 30-day refund window; the only exception is if you purchase and register a new custom domain as a part of your plan and then that needs to be cancelled within 48 hours of purchase to be eligible for a refund.
