Sina Weibo feed?

    Given that I am based in China, I would like to have feed from my Sina Weibo (Chinese Twitter) account in the same way that viewers can view my Tweets. Sina Weibo has around the same number of global users as Twitter, so it’s a huge platform. Please let me know whether this is possible and, if not, when this facility is likely to be available. Thank you!

    Hi there – does Sina Weibo provide an RSS feed? If so, you could easily pull it into an RSS widget. Let me know.

    Hello! Thanks for your reply. The answer is that I am not sure.. I have found a Weibo widget for WordPress but it doesn’t work. I think it’s because it uses banned html. This is the code:

    As Weibo is in Chinese (and I don’t read Chinese), I am having difficulties…! I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that this would be simple….!

    Hi there, thanks for providing that code. It’s an iframe, which is something we don’t allow on WordPress.com for security reasons. You can learn more here about the types of code that can be used here.

    If it’s not obvious, you may want to ask Weibo support if that’s something they provide for you. It would be a link that may end in /feed or something else.

    I also did a search and found this:

    Sina Weibo does not provide RSS feed itself, but there are some solutions.
    Take this one:
    http://rssing.sinaapp.com/?uname=username

    Replace username or userid with your own then you get the RSS feed of Sina Weibo.

    http://weibo2rss.cloudfoundry.com/

    Thanks. I have tried both of those suggestions but neither seems to work…! I will try Weibo support, although there is no english language version at present… If you have any other ideas, please let me know!
