  Hello Mfrisardi,

  Are you trying to install a third party plugin?

  You may want to check if this plugin is compatible with your version of WordPress.
  that is one reason it would ask you to update.

  Hi @mfrisardi if you are trying to install a plugin on a WPcom website, you would need to upgrade your website to the Business or eCommerce plan to do so. You can learn more about this here: https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/
