Since when is the EU a country?

  That’s it; that’s my question.
  Stats now list EU rather than the sovereign countries such as Greece, France etc. Does WordPress know something we don’t?

  someone visited your site – but they could not resolve to a country but are reasonably certain the visitor was from an EU country – so the addition of EU

  You be welcome – the EU stat is a relatively recent addition – last half of the year maybe
