Singl Theme Container/Row Modify

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

    I have the Singl theme and I am trying to identify what the actual element it is that acts as the container for inserting rows and thus, my content. By default, the Singl theme makes a big white rectangular block as a container for each row for inserting content. I am looking through the style.css file to find it so I can reduce the padding or margin as it is too thick on all sides and I need to modify that. Where in Singl’s style.css file can I find this info?

    Thank you,
    Blake

    Hi Blake, the site linked to your account is using the Twenty Eleven theme and the latest content is from 2013. Can you give us a link to the site you are talking about please?

    Hi HE,

    Right, that was my old blog. New one is lolamontezband.com

    However, my new site is hosted by Namecheap so apparently I need to use the forum at wordpress.org.

    Hi, @blakesco, yes, that would be best. There is a dedicated Singl support forum at WordPress.org where you can post your questions.

    I did take a quick look at your site, and this should get you started. There is padding on all four sides of the content which you can adjust. Here is the relevant CSS.

    .page-header, .page-content, .hentry {
        padding: 40px 40px 20px 40px;
    }

    The padding values between the parentheses are top, right, bottom, left.
