Single HTML/PHP File Template
-
Hi,
I’ve had a look around but have had no luck so hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction. I don’t know 100% how to describe what i’m looking for, but basically i would like to have a template for wordpress where rather then having to use header, footer, sidebar, single, archive etc etc having one file that essentially does it all.
The reason for this is because when our I create a website i always have a template file to use for the rest of the site. I would like to be simply be able to insert the required wordpress code into this to make it simpler for the programmer to implement. Is this possible?
Thanks,

Hey crashguy! Are you hosted here at wordpress.com? If not you need to head over to http://wordpress.org/support/ !
If you are hosted here, you cannot edit our template here, but rather can use the CSS upgrade to change elements that way, but no template editing!

Hi trent,
No i don’t host blogs on wordpress.com itself, i host them on my own servers.
Thanks,

Then you need to ask over in forums for blogs not hosted on wordpress.com as this service doesn’t run on the same software. A nice place to start would be in the Codex.
Good luck!
