single postings showing up multiple times in reader

    I looked and couldn’t find a solution.

    The reader is showing multiple posts of the same post I’m posting, at different times – it seems like when I edit it.

    My main page is just the one post not multiple times.

    I’m worried that people that are subscribed to me are getting way too many links to single posts that I post, maybe every time I edit it. I’m not sure how to fix it, I don’t think it’s a problem with any settings on my end. Is there any way a support person or I could fix this?

    I followed, unfollowed, logged in, logged out. Same problem on both the firefox browser and chrome.

    I’ve taken a screen shot too in my pictures, the newest one titled “capture”

    I appreciate any help.

    I’ve noticed this happens with some blogs but not with most. Happens to the National Post too, or did on Thursday. I hadn’t noticed them doing that before. I flagged this for staff attention.

    I think what caused it on mine is I started two new posts, had two open at the same time. Two different ones.

    It seems wordpress was computing them as the same post (because they were both new/not drafts/at the same time)

    When I posted one it was right, the next one looked in the reader like the same post as the first, only on my blog’s main page it wasn’t – it was the different post that it really was.

    Since then is when it’s been posting multiple posts in the reader, I think that’s how I broke my blog.

    I’m viewing your blog feed in the reader and see no duplicate posts:

    Are you still seeing the duplicate posts on your end? Or did reader “clean up” the duplicate posts in your view as well?

    Yes, I’m still seeing a duplicate of the last post – “Karen, Julie, and Celia” where it’s above and a ways below the picture.

    I haven’t posting anything since.

    Did you have Reader open while you did the post update?

    If I’m not able to get the older version, having just now visited, that means Reader cleaned up the back end and is now only storing the newest version of that post.

    What I suspect happened is that if you had Reader open, it posted the new Update of that post, but it didn’t remove the old version immediately in your browser window, just in the Reader software.

    Would you please clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then reload your blog’s feed in the reader here?

    Thanks! Seems like it’s all worked out, I wanted to wait and post/edit some new posts.

    Thanks for all your help and looking into this for me. It seems it was the old/new reader mix up or something – switch over. I’m just glad not to bombard casual strangers with dump-truck loads of postings, I’m not that good of a writer. :p
