single space, double space writing

  i want to write single space, but it only double spaces the lines. I do not see a way to switch to single spaces. It used to be single, and now its double. So whats up dudes?

  Hello @honeybadgerpress7,

  Try this – with your keyboard, hold the Shift key as you key in Enter. It should give you a single space.

  thanks very much rose, that does work, but is very unhandy to write that way, and wont work copy and pasting. I dont know why there is no setting at the top of the page for this. Thanks again

  I’d use the HTML section for that.

  When you create a new post, you will notice these two tabs on the left Visual and HTML. See screenshot here. It is set to Visual by default.

  In HTML, anything you paste or enter would come in single space. However, please note that if you paste texts with different paragraphs, it may only paste as one paragraph. You will lose the breaks. You can always click back to Visual to check how it looks.

  If you copy and paste from Microsoft Word, you may find this support doc helpful.
