  I have an email saying that I own a wordpress.com site yet I cannot access this. I am also trying to change the domain to .com by buying it yet the currency appears in US Dollars where previously it was in GBP

  Essentially, I just wish to have GBP on my cart rather than USD so that I can buy the domain name I want.

  Hi there,

  I can see four sites in your account. Can you please specify with which site you are having problems?

  Can you try clearing your browser cache and cookies and see if that makes any difference?

  Let me know if it doesnt.

  Hello,

  All of them I think. I only have one with content and the other three I have deleted but they somehow are still on my sites but blank.

  Is there anything you can do about permanently deleting the three because now I have three blanks which serve no purpose.

  So just the one with content – arkpropertydevelopment – I need to switch to GBP not USD.

  I have cleared the cache and cookies and it still says USD and 3 blank sites.

  Hi there,

  I have confirmed that those sites are having problems and am reporting it to our developers to look into.

  You say you deleted them. All three those sites are showing as having been created a few hours ago, so did you delete them shortly after creating them? And did you delete them from My Sites or the WP-Admin dashboard?

  I deleted them shortly after. I did get an email from WordPress saying that there was a few issues with the site. I think it created duplicate sites for me while i was trying to create my page. I deleted them after in both but there was more than three at the time. I got rid of some mostly from My Sites I think.

  The only one I need is arkpropertydevelopment.wordpress.com and I’m trying to buy a domain but it is in USD not GBP.

  Thanks for the information. We’re looking into what happened with those sites. I’ll update you here when I learn more.

  As for the currency, are you based in the UK?

  The currency should automatically be selected based on your location. If you are using a proxy or a VPN it might be incorrectly determining that you are in the US instead.

  Hello again,

  Yes, I’m in Gloucestershire, UK.

  When I first starting setting up, it was in GBP then all of a sudden it was in USD. I have no idea what happened.

  Okay, I have made an adjustment on your account so it should be showing the correct currency now.

  I just wanted to update you that the issue with the other three sites has also been fixed now.

  You should now be able to delete them if you’re sure you don’t want them, or you can set them to hidden at the link below so they won’t appear in My Sites, but you’ll still have them for backups, test site’s, etc.
