  Are cookies necessary for site access? If one were to travel to Iraq for 2wks, taking a new laptop, are user name and password adequate to enter the blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes I do think that they are but I suggest you confirm that with Staff. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  When you enter the user name and password, cookies get stored. If you are blocking cookies, then you cannot access any password protected areas. I don’t see how travel to Iraq has any relevance to this.
