site access
-
I’m trying to get onto the pages I am working on prior to launching my site. This morning in a chat you made me access the site with admin as my user name. Now the site doesn’t recognize admin or my email address/password. Don’t know how to get back on. A few moments ago I was sent a link that takes me to a Readers Page. Not good. I need to chat with someone at WP.

This morning in a chat
If you have an upgraded WordPress.com plan you can continue to get help via live chat support (If you’re logged in to the account with a paid upgrade). https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
However to get any assistance right here you need to confirm the address of the site you need help with. Is it definitely https://oldboldandballin.wordpress.com/ or perhaps a different one ? The account you are using here is only 40 minutes old. Have you another account you ought to be using to access the site you currently cannot open? -
As far as I know my site is http://www.oldboldandballin.com.
I am not logged in now and unable to access live chat. -
watamatayu177 is a recent account and only appears to be an author on that site, not an admin. Are you sure you haven’t another account you ought to be accessing?

http://www.oldboldandballin.com. is hosted by BlueHost, not here at WordPress.com so you are asking for help in the wrong place I’m afraid.

“http://www.oldboldandballin.com. is hosted by BlueHost, not here at WordPress.com so you are asking for help in the wrong place I’m afraid.”???????
What are you talking about? What kind of game is this? I trying to get on my WordPress site and wordpress helped me this morning and now I can’t get make any progress on the site. I thought BlueHost/WP were partners. Why can’t wordpress continue to help me out here. I need to get my user name changed back to what it was. A wordpress chat person told me to change it to “admin.” This is a crazy runaround. What the hell am I supposed to ask Blue Host? I HAVE an upgraded wordpress.com plan that I paid for but can’t get help from wordpress? WTF?

Author? Admin? I don’t understand. I’m sorry but this is extremely frustrating. I’ve started twice on the http://www.oldboldandballin.com site but changes are not saved. I appreciate your attempts to help but you apparently assume that I have some knowledge of this process that I don’t have. Who are you, anyway? Do you work for WordPress?

Hello there @watamatayu177 – these are mostly peer-to-peer forums and @themagicrobot is one of our more experienced volunteers, as am I.
The WordPressdotcom account you are posting from is less than a day old. The site you need help with oldboldandballin.com is not hosted here on WordPressdotcom’s servers, but with BlueHost, a different web hosting provider. These forums only provide support for sites hosted with WordPressdotcom.
To clarify, WordPress comes in two flavors, standalone WP (org) and WordPressdotcom (where we are). These are different entities with separate documentation and support forums; more information about the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you need assistance with oldboldandballin.com, you will want to contact your web hosting provider Bluehost’s support first. They have a dedicated support page at https://www.bluehost.com/contact with links to chat and phone support.
Regardless, since you also mention that you paid for an upgraded WordPressdotcom plan, I’ve tagged this thread for Staff attention.
Best wishes.

Hi there,
The account you’re using to post here does not own any plans on WordPress.com and we don’t have any payment info from you on file.
The site at https://oldboldandballin.com/ is using the open source WordPress software found at WordPress.org and is running on Bluehost’s servers, as the volunteers in this thread have correctly indicated. That site is also not connected to any WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plugin, so whatever you bought, you did not buy it from us.
Did you perhaps buy a managed WordPress plan from Bluehost? In that case you need to contact their support via the link @justjennifer gave above.
