    Hi

I opened an account and have been building a website/blog over the past few days at/for bensandsmusic.com
After trying to update the whassup plug-in, I am no longer able to access anything except Reader. Dashboard is nowhere to be seen!
When I try to open http://www.bensands.com/wp-admin, I get the following Error Message : –
Fatal error: Call to a member function is_recording_active() on a non-object in /home/content/71/11991271/html/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 512

    Please help!!!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, bensands.com is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/ Your webhost’s support team is another good resource.

Sorry, my Word Press website is bensandsmusic.com, hosted by GoDaddy
I already built five or six pages – but now I am not able to access them.
As far as I know, all dealings were done through wordpress.com ,,,, not wordpress.org and the log in was at http://www.bensandsmusic.com/wp-admin
Trying to log in here with username bensands OR (email visible only to moderators and staff)
brings me the error message –
‘Fatal error: Call to a member function is_recording_active() on a non-object in /home/content/71/11991271/html/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 512’

    What does it mean?
    What should I do?
What happens if I try again to build a website, from scratch, for bensandsmusic.com?
Will I be told that site is already taken? (by me!)
Have I lost the already built pages forever?
    where did they GO???
Please help – I needed a week with WordPress to get as far with the site as I did – and now all has disappeared!
    Best
    Ben

If this is the case, you would not have done anything through WordPress.com. You have a self-hosted WordPress.org site hosted through GoDaddy.

The error message you are getting is another clue that this is the case. It is not an error that WordPress.com users would see.

I would encourage you to talk to the GoDaddy support team. That should be a good place to start at least.

    Best of luck.
