Site Access Permission Issue – Enterprise Account
-
My company recently purchased an annual enterprise license for WordPress. However I am not receiving the invites, and therefore not able to access the site for my job.
The site wordpress URL is: https://wordpress.com/view/victraalexreeder.wpcomstaging.com
Can you please advise on how I can get access to this site. Confirming the admin of the site has sent me multiple requests to be an ‘editor’ of the site to this email address, but they are not getting through.
Best,
Emily -
Hello Emily.
Any editor or other role in the site has to be explicitly invited by the admin. Your admin needs to Add Users To The Site. Be sure that the admin is following exactly those steps and the WP username or email is writen correctly. -
Hi Emily,
I can see your account added in the Editor role on that site, and I can also see the site listed in your account under My Site:
https://wordpress.com/stats/day/victraalexreeder.wpcomstaging.com
As an Editor you can create and modify any posts or pages on the site, but you will not be able to make any changes to the theme, including adding customization, editing widgets, etc. Editors can only make changes to site content, while only admins can make changes to the site itself.
The site wordpress URL is: https://wordpress.com/view/victraalexreeder.wpcomstaging.com
That is not the site URL. That is the full site preview, and is only accessible to site admins. As you only have the Editor role, you do not have access to that link.
The public URL of that site is https://victraalexreeder.wpcomstaging.com/, but at the moment you’ll only see a Coming Soon page at that URL, again because you only have Editor access to the site. If you need to have admin access to the site, the site owner will need to change your user role.
Please ask the site owner to contact us directly for help if they run into any trouble making that change.
