site adddress greyed out / email address for support

    In General Settings my site address vvabooks1.com is greyed out. This (I think) is causing my landing page vvabooks1.com not to display my posts (or cause my posts to show the link https://vvabooks1.com/2024/04/24/kurt-langer-nemesis-of-terror/). I have spent hours trying to resolve following all the Wapuu advice.

    I then searched for an email address to contact support – again I followed all the messages but could not obtain an email address for support.

    I then gave up and decided to pay £84 for the Explorer level. I still cannot obtain an email address for support.

    I reviewed your site and noticed the provided link was showing a “Page not found” error, along with a blank screen on the landing page (https://vvabooks1.com/).

    Looks like your site and its content are currently accessible at another address but I need more information to confirm. Can you tell me more about the previous site setup / address, including why you were hoping to change the site address from the General Settings?

    HI Semaj. Thank you for your reply. In answer to your question, the link that takes me to my post is referenced above, it is https://vvabooks1.com/2024/04/24/kurt-langer-nemesis-of-terror/). I need it to be (https://vvabooks1.com/). I want to be able to set the site to PRIVATE and initially be able to provide other people with viewing rights before making it PUBLIC. This can only be done with the correct site address.

    Thank you for providing the email address – I couldn’t find it anywhere – if I get the time I will send a fuller explanation in by email.

  • Thanks for clarifying! After checking this further, I noticed the Visibility option for the referenced post is set to Private, explaining why it is not publicly accessible. This also explains why the landing page is not displaying the post content at the moment.

    To fix this, you can update the Visibility option for the post to Public and that should ensure the post and landing page content is visible, even when the site is using the https://vvabooks1.com/ address.

    In addition, you can make the entire site Private by updating the Privacy Settings from your site’s General Settings. This will ensure the site and its content can only be accessed by people you have granted viewing rights to.

    Thanks. I have set my site to PRIVATE. I have set the post to PUBLIC. However https://vvabooks1.com/ only shows the first page of the post, the TITLE (that was on every page) is missing. It also has the page links (Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14) missing from the foot of the page.

    If I use the old address https://vvabooks1.com/2024/04/24/kurt-langer-nemesis-of-terror/ I can see the title and the page links.

    Thank you, I have done as you suggest – set the Post to PUBLIC and the site to PRIVATE however when I use the site address https://vvabooks1.com/ it shows my post but only the first page. The title is missing from the page as well as the footer that gives the links to each of the pages; that shows as – Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 . Please could you take a look and see if it working for you.
