site added dotcom to my redirect name

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

I recently started my wordpress account and tried to redirect http://www.simpleandsatisfied.com as my site; however in wordpress it’s showing as simpleandsatisfieddotcom. Can I get this updated?

Please let me know what the next steps are.
    Thanks!
    Nicole

    Hi,

The ‘simpleandsatisfieddotcom’ part is the underlying WordPress.com address that all sites on WordPress.com have. Your visitors will not see this address as long as your domain mapping is active. They will see the address simpleandsatisfied.com instead.

I can see that you’ve mapped the domain, but there’s one last step still remaining. Please contact your domain registrar to add the WordPress.com nameservers to your domain. The WordPress.com nameservers are:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

You can request your domain registrar’s assistance in adding these to your domain. When they are added, within 72 hours the domain will start loading your WordPress.com site.

I looked up and your domain appears to have been registered by GoDaddy. You can contact them to do this for you or you can do this yourself on their site following their instructions here: https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/12317/setting-custom-nameservers-for-domains-registered-with-us

    Hope that helps!
