  Hi, I recently started building a site on wordpress but in the process I did something really stupid: I forgot to see if there were any similar site names or addresses already existing. I understand I cannot change the site address that exists so I am wondering if it is possible for me to cancel my account and start over with a new domain or site address? My current site address is ‘sawdustnshavings’ which I discovered is the same prefix as a couple of existing sites.
  Is it also possible to copy & paste the content from my pages to a new address before cancelling the old domain? D. Browne

  You don’t need to cancel your account to rename your site. You can create as many sites as you wish using your existing account.

  The simplest way to achieve what you want is to, change your site address to the one you want. Here are the instructions to change your blog address:

  You can export your content from the current site and import it to your new site.
