Site address

I’m trying to change the site address. I’m following the instructions given on the help page, but I don’t have the ‘change blog address’ option.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve followed that advice.
I’ve done stage 1, when I get to stage 2 there is no option to “change blog address” my only option is to “leave blog”. I don’t know why its not coming up. -

It can be tricky to find for sure! Let me add to what @mihaiapetrei has shared and walk you through it:
- Click on Settings, then Change your site address
- Click the site you want to edit, then click Edit Site Address
- This will take you to the admin section of your site, where you can hover over the blog you want to change. That’s when ‘Change blog address’ pops up!

Please confirm are you Admin user for this site http://deborahmillersoprano.wordpress.com/ ?
I am guessing you may be a Contributor or Editor for this site which gives you the option to leave the blog but not change the blog address.
You need Admin access to change blog address or transfer a blog.Hope this answers your question. If not then don’t worry, staff will respond soon.

Howdy –
The problem here is that your account does not own the blog. Yes, you are an admin, but only the blog owner is able to initiate the change you’ve requested.
You’ll need to sign in as the owner or ask them to transfer ownership of the blog to you for this to be possible. https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

Hello,
Thanks for this. I’ve spoken to the other lady who made the website with me and she has transferred it to me and is no longer an admin. However I still can’t seem to change the domain name. It still comes up with only “leave blog” as an option.
I’m really stuck, I don’t understand why I can’t change it, and I really need to.

The process is working for me. The issue may be with your browser.
Please try the following:
1. Sign out and back in to your WordPress.com account. Attempt to rename the site.
2. If no luck with #1, clear your browser cache by following this guide:
3. Try from a different web browser all together. -
Thank you Liz, I just tried this, but it’s still not working.
I did no’s 1 and 3, but I can’t work out how to clear my browser cache.
It’s still coming up just as “leave blog” and no other options. -
